The Story:
On June 5, 2011, University of British Columbia Political Science Masters student, Rumana Monzur was brutally attacked at her home in Dhaka, Banglasesh in an act of domestic violence that has left her without sight.
The UBC community and indeed the world was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of this tragedy and wanted a way to support Rumana and her daughter through this terrible incident.
